In conjunction with International Migrants Day, Persatuan Sahabat Wanita Selangor (PSWS) celebrated the Cambodian women migrant community Many women in this community came to Malaysia as refugees or migrant workers and are currently engaged in informal sectors such as domestic work, cleaning services, and small-scale home-based income-generating activities.
Persatuan Sahabat Wanita Selangor has been working closely with this often overlooked community through various capacity-building and upskilling initiatives, including tailoring, language learning, and leadership development.
This International Migrants Day celebration with them provided a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community and appreciate their contributions to society.
